IndustriSafe COVID-19 Pandemic Policy

Purpose:

  1. To create a safe environment for Industrisafe Nigeria staff and vendors by providing clear operational and environmental guidelines

  2. To rapidly identify Covid-19 infection within members of staff if or when they occur

  3. To limit or prevent workplace exposure to Covid-19 and limit community spread in those instances of identified exposure

 

Guidelines

  1. All employees are required to follow the procedures while employed by industrisafe Nigeria

  2. All employees will screen themselves for symptoms of Covid-19 ( temperature check, shortness of breath, loss of smell) every morning before reporting to work. Be prepared to log your temperature on the office temperature log when you report to work. Temperatures will be spot checked by the MD daily

  3. Do not report to work if you feel sick, call the MD/TD to discuss your symptoms and be prepared to stay home

  4. Inform the MD/TD if you have a sick family member at home

  5. Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer for at least 20 seconds before reporting to work

  6. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with your unwashed hands

  7. Mask must be worn while on premises at all times to cover your mouth and nose

  8. All employees must have a bottle of hand sanitizer on their person at all times, and use regularly at least once every hour

  9. Cough or Sneeze into your elbow, and then wash your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer every time you cough or sneeze

  10. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces (workstation, telephone, keyboard, handrails, doorknobs) once every hour. Check the daily disinfecting schedule and make note of your area of responsibility

  11. Do not use other employee’s phones, workspace, tools or equipment, if necessary to share- disinfect before and after use

  12. Maintain 6 feet or 2 meters distance from others while on the premises and avoid large gatherings when off the premises

 

This policy will be subject to change and updated regularly in line with international guidelines for Covid-19 safety
